On this National Caregivers Day, find the help you need
National Caregivers Day is Feb. 20, and it’s the perfect time to highlight the incredible support available through the Lincoln Trail Area Development District.
If you or someone you know is providing care for a loved one, you don’t have to do it alone. LTADD offers several vital services designed to support caregivers in our community:
- Respite Care: Get much-needed relief with in-home care for individuals who cannot be left unsupervised, or explore Adult Daycare options.
- Case Management: Work with a professional to develop a personalized Plan of Care and get linked to essential community supports.
- Participant Directed Services (PDS): For those on specific Medicaid waivers, this allows you to hire the caregivers of your choice using a personal budget.
- SHIP / Benefits Counseling: Get free, one-on-one help navigating the complexities of Medicare, Medicaid, and pharmaceutical assistance programs.
- In-Home Support: Assistance with “Activities of Daily Living” (like bathing and dressing) and “Instrumental Activities” (like meal prep and light housekeeping) to help your loved one stay safe at home.
