Kentucky Office of Homeland Security Holds Cyber Workshop at LTADD
As part of its Cyber Workshop and Tabletop Exercise (TTX), the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security hosted local leaders and emergency managers as they joined experts Feb. 5 from CISA and the Kentucky Army National Guard to simulate cyber incident responses and learn about the latest digital threats.
The workshop was part of a statewide initiative by KOHS, which has been traveling to Area Development Districts across the Commonwealth to provide specialized training. We were honored to welcome guest speakers Colin Glover and Ryan Lewis Sr. from Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), U.S. Air Force 2nd Lt. Andrew Six of the Kentucky Army National Guard, who shared their invaluable expertise on the evolving landscape of digital threats.
Beyond the vital information shared, the workshop provided tangible professional development for our region’s leaders, offering 3 hours of Emergency Management (EM) credit and 3 hours of Department for Local Government (DLG) credit.
At LTADD, we believe that preparedness is a team effort. Hosting events like these ensures that our cities and counties are not only aware of modern threats but are also equipped with the strategies and partnerships needed to protect our regional assets.
