NOW HIRING | Community Asset Planner

Lincoln Trail Area Development District is a multi-jurisdictional, planning and development agency located in the heart of Kentucky seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to serve as Community Asset Planner. Position is a critical liaison between federal/state funding agencies and local communities. Responsible for the project management and administration of federal, state, and local funds, with a specific emphasis on programs administered by the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Assist local governments and water districts in identifying, securing, and managing funds for infrastructure projects (water, wastewater, and transportation) within the Lincoln Trail region. Ensure regulatory compliance and project viability through technical guidance and mandatory annual site visits. Heavy emphasis on data collection, report formulation and analysis, and research and grant writing.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field; and at least one-year related experience. Knowledge of GIS is a plus.

The region is best served with a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills. Aptitude in relationship building is imperative, aiding in efficient communication across all coordinating planning agencies and local, state, and federal officials.
