54th ANNUAL MEETING CONDUCTED

REGIONAL AWARD WINNERS HIGHLIGHT LINCOLN TRAIL
AREA DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT’S 54th ANNUAL MEETING

The Lincoln Trail Area Development District’s (LTADD) Fifty-Fourth Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, was highlighted by the presentation of the LTADD Board of Directors’ prestigious Palmer ‘Pete’ Peterson Award to Mayor Ronnie Joyner of the City of Brandenburg; and the acceptance of the “Dorothy Dolle Award” by Ms. Beverly Heath of LaRue County.

The Annual Meeting was held at Centre Square in Lebanon, Marion County. LTADD Chair, Mr. George Spragens of Marion County served as Master of Ceremonies, welcoming guests from the region’s eight counties and other areas of the Commonwealth.  U.S. Senator Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Congressman James Comer addressed the crowd in honor of the 54th Annual Meeting.

Mayor Ronnie Joyner was presented with the LTADD Board of Directors’ Palmer ‘Pete’ Peterson Award.  This award is presented annually in memory of Pete Peterson, a former staff member of the LTADD, to an outstanding member of the Board of Directors. The recipient is recognized for their outstanding leadership, cooperation and dedication to the aims of the LTADD.

Ms. Beverly Heath of LaRue County was the recipient of the Dorothy Dolle Award, which is presented annually to a senior member of the Lincoln Trail region who exercises volunteerism in the region and exemplifies the standards, dedication, and service set by Ms. Dolle, also a former LTADD employee.

The 2022-2023 Officers for the LTADD were recognized and sworn in during the meeting:
MR. GEORGE SPRAGENS (Lebanon, Marion County) – CHAIR
JUDGE DAVID DAUGHERTY (Marion County) – 1ST VICE CHAIR
MAYOR RONNIE JOYNER (Brandenburg, Meade County) – 2ND VICE CHAIR
JUDGE TIMOTHY GRAVES (Springfield, Washington County) – SECRETARY
MS. LAURA LARUE (Hardin County) – TREASURER
The LTADD Officers were sworn in by Senator Jimmy Higdon, who represents Senate District 14.
