Meet the Interns

At LTADD, we believe that investing in the future of our region means investing in the bright minds growing right within it. This summer our office is energized by a new cohort of interns who bring fresh perspectives, academic knowledge, and enthusiasm to our various departments.

We have three outstanding interns who are working hard to support our communities, develop innovative tools, and learn the ins and outs of our region. Please join us in giving a warm Lincoln Trail welcome to Reese, Torrie, and Sawyer!

Reese Moreman – Creative Intern

  • Hometown: Elizabethtown (Hardin County)
  • College: University of Kentucky

Reese joins our team this summer to dive firsthand into the fast-paced world of public sector communication and community engagement. As a Wildcat, she was looking for a bridge between her college coursework and her local roots.

“I wanted to be employed at LTADD because of the opportunity it gave me to understand small-town marketing,” Reese said. “Being a student at the University of Kentucky, I wanted to be able to take what I was learning in classes and apply it to real-life scenarios. LTADD is providing me with the opportunity to learn more about marketing as well as my community.”

When she isn’t brainstorming creative ways to tell the stories of our region, Reese loves curling up with a good book, baking, playing tennis and golf, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Torrie Frist – CASE Finance Intern

  • Hometown: Shepherdsville (Bullitt County)
  • College: University of Kentucky

Our Community Aging & Social Engagement (CASE) division handles complex, vital programs that require meticulous administrative and financial oversight. Torrie has stepped up this summer to keep our financial gears turning smoothly while broadening her professional horizons.

“I wanted to be employed at LTADD to learn more about what this organization is about, as well as get more experience in different aspects of work,” Torrie said.

Torrie’s eagerness to learn has made her a fantastic asset to our busy CASE department. Outside of the office, Torrie is an adventurer at heart. She loves traveling, heading down to the lake, and prioritizing quality downtime with her friends and family.

Sawyer Hess – IT Intern

  • Hometown: Elizabethtown (Hardin County)
  • College: Campbellsville University

In the modern world, regional development relies heavily on reliable technology and data systems. Sawyer has joined our tech team to gain hands-on engineering and technical experience while building solutions that have a tangible impact.

“I wanted experience developing useful tools for people both internally and externally,” Sawyer said.

Sawyer’s technical curiosity is helping us optimize our workflows and software tools to better serve both the LTADD staff and the public. When he disconnects from his screens, Sawyer keeps active and social by playing volleyball and pickleball, or gathering around a table for competitive board games.

Whether they are balancing budgets, managing software, or designing community outreach campaigns, these interns are gaining real-world skills while helping LTADD fulfill its mission to public service. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and hard work this season, and we can’t wait to see where their bright futures take them.
