LTWDB Strengthens Regional Governance with Addition of Three New Board Members
The Lincoln Trail Workforce Development Board (LTWDB) convened for its quarterly meeting, and marked the appointment of three new board members representing key industry, organized labor, and community action sectors across Central Kentucky.
Joining the business-led board are:
- Aleah Foushee, HR Manager at Nucor Steel Brandenburg, bringing valuable industrial manufacturing leadership and human resources expertise;
- Ryan Terry, Apprenticeship & Training Coordinator for Iron Workers Local 70, representing vital labor perspectives and hands-on trade development strategies; and
- Tommy Wheatley, Kentucky Works Director at Central Kentucky Community Action Council, providing crucial insight into community-based career support and self-sufficiency initiatives.
LTWDB Chairman Lance Blanford formally welcomed the new members, emphasizing that diverse, multi-sector representation is essential to shaping responsive workforce strategies. By uniting major regional employers, labor unions, and community service providers, the board continues to ensure that training initiatives directly match local industry demands while creating accessible career pathways for residents across all eight counties.
During the meeting, Chairman Blanford also recognized additions to the agency’s professional staff team, welcoming Marcellos Jackson (Workforce Specialist) and Heather Mooney (Finance Officer), whose day-to-day work will directly support the board’s strategic vision and program delivery across the region.
