LaRue County Applies for CDBG Funding for New Health Center

By

Major progress is underway for public health in LaRue County.

LaRue County Fiscal Court held a public hearing Aug. 11 to discuss plans for a new, state-of-the-art LaRue County Health Center, a project that marks a significant step forward in expanding healthcare access for local residents.

To bring this vision to life, the County is submitting an application for $850,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. LTADD’s Community & Regional Economic Development (CRED) team is proud to support this effort by providing grant-writing expertise and administrative guidance to help secure this crucial investment for our region.

Planned in close partnership with the Lincoln Trail District Health Department and the LaRue County Board of Health, the proposed 4,166-square-foot facility will be located at 216 Lincoln Drive in Hodgenville. Once complete, the new center will offer a modern, accessible space designed to better serve the growing health and wellness needs of LaRue County families.

Projects like this demonstrate the impact of strategic intergovernmental partnerships. By combining local leadership, public health expertise, and regional development support, we can turn federal funding opportunities into tangible community assets.

LTADD’s CRED team looks forward to continuing our work alongside LaRue County leaders as this project moves through the grant process!
