Celebrating the Career of FACT Director Jane Alsip

By

After nearly 23 years of exceptional service, LTADD is preparing for a major transition as we bid farewell to Jane Alsip, our Finance, Asset & Compliance Team (FACT) Division Director. Jane’s incredible journey with LTADD began on Oct. 29, 2003, and she will officially retire on July 31.

For over two decades, Jane has been the financial guardian of our organization, ensuring that every dollar, asset, and process perfectly aligns with complex state and federal regulations.

Jane didn’t just step into leadership, she earned it by mastering the intricate inner workings of regional governance. She spent her first four years at LTADD learning the ins and outs of our operations as the Assistant Fiscal Officer. Her sharp eye for detail and natural leadership abilities quickly became apparent, leading to her promotion to Fiscal Officer, a vital seat she has brilliantly led from ever since, ultimately evolving into her current role as FACT Division Director.

For many years, Jane famously operated as a “team of one-and-a-half,” carrying an immense workload to keep the agency running smoothly. Through her vision and leadership, she successfully grew the division into a robust, highly efficient team of four, leaving the department stronger than ever.

Under Jane’s tenure, LTADD achieved a gold-standard financial reputation. She is a true force when it comes to audits. Thanks to her relentless pursuit of perfection, keen attention to detail, and tireless efforts, LTADD has consistently been deemed a low-risk audit organization.

Her impact, however, extends far beyond our office walls:

  • A Regional Resource: Jane is widely regarded as a premier expert in her field, serving as an invaluable asset to both internal staff and external partners.
  • Statewide Collaboration: She spearheaded multiple statewide conversations among ADD finance leaders, helping to better align financial processes across the entire Kentucky ADD network.

Financial compliance in the public sector is a demanding, high-stakes responsibility. Jane worked tirelessly to ensure LTADD maintained strong, effective, and regulation-compliant processes. To achieve this level of accuracy and efficiency, Jane routinely sacrificed her own weekends, evenings, and planned time off, always putting the fiscal needs of LTADD and the region first.

Her immense contributions did not go unnoticed. In recognition of her stellar work ethic and unparalleled dedication, Jane was honored by her peers as the LTADD Employee of the Year in 2023.

“Jane’s expertise and precision have been the bedrock of LTADD’s operational success for over two decades,” Executive Director Daniel London said. “Keeping an agency like ours fully compliant with a constantly shifting web of government regulations is a monumental task, but Jane met that challenge through sheer dedication and an unwavering standard of excellence. She has been a trusted advisor, a brilliant leader, and an invaluable asset to our entire region. While her presence will be dearly missed, the ironclad financial processes she established will benefit us for years to come.”

Jane, thank you for your nearly 23 years of meticulous leadership, your sacrifices, and your fierce commitment to perfection. You have set a standard of excellence that will inspire us long after you log off for the final time.

Please join the entire LTADD family in thanking Jane Alsip for her remarkable service and wishing her a beautiful, relaxing, and richly deserved retirement!
