GIS Technician

Lincoln Trail Area Development District (LTADD), a multi-jurisdictional, planning and development agency, is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to serve as GIS Technician.  Position provides direct support and coordination within the Community Development department.  Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), engineering, planning, geography, or geology. Planning, mapping, or engineering experience preferred. Relevant software certifications or up to 2 years of practical experience may be substituted for relevant education.

Areas of work concentration include producing accurate and expedient maps, graphics, datasets, narratives, reports, etc. in support of a variety of projects that involve land use, transportation, utilities, economic, hazards, or other programs that LTADD may be engaged in.  Must be able to handle multiple projects, and work effectively with staff, public officials and general public.

Salary Range:  $38,500 – $44,500
