LTADD Engineering Secures More Than $1M in CCBIP Funding for Two Bridge Replacements

Here at LTADD, we take pride in helping cities and counties manage sustainable growth while protecting the regional environmental assets and infrastructure that make Central Kentucky a great place to live. That is why we are proud to announce that LTADD Engineering recently was approved for $1,075,706 City-County Bridge Improvement Program (CCBIP) grant funding for bridge design and improvement projects in Grayson and Grant counties.

By successfully securing approved funding for these vital infrastructure transformations, bridges on Pleasant View Road in Grayson County and Fords Mill Road in Grant County were both approved for full replacements. These critical funds come from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department (KYTC) of Rural and Municipal Aid, delivering a financial boost to local municipal budgets.

These aging bridges had posed safety concerns for local residents and travelers, characterized by narrow roadway widths, structural wear, and reduced load ratings posted by KYTC. Recognizing that increasing traffic demands required action, county officials worked closely with LTADD Engineering to target and secure the CCBIP funds.

LTADD Engineering has and will continue to support Grayson and Grant County Governments through every single phase of the replacement project. We execute proactive, technical measures on behalf of our communities to ensure long-term durability and improved driver safety:

  • Restoring Structural Integrity and Driver Safety: By replacing outdated infrastructure that suffered from narrow widths and restrictive load capacities, these full bridge replacements ensure local roads can safely handle modern traffic volume and heavy municipal or emergency vehicles.
  • Maximizing Local Savings via Strategic Grant Acquisition: LTADD successfully captured $1,075,706.00 in CCBIP Grants for these two projects. This grant effectively saves local municipal budgets from bearing the immense financial burden of full capital replacement costs.
  • End-to-End Project Execution: LTADD Engineering guides local governments from initial assessment and design to application, review, and final execution.
