LTADD named a Top-5 “Best Place to Work in Kentucky” in first year of participation
At LTADD, our mission has always been centered on strengthening our communities. Whether we are helping a local city secure infrastructure funding, connecting an older adult with vital resources, or supporting regional economic growth across our eight counties, our impact relies entirely on one critical asset: our people.
That is why we are absolutely thrilled — and deeply humbled — to share some incredible news.
At the 22nd Annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards ceremony, presented by Saint Joseph Health, LTADD was officially ranked fourth in the state in the Small Companies category (15–149 employees)!
While we previously announced in March we were included in the unranked list of honorees, we have been eagerly waiting to learn our official standing.
What makes this No. 4 ranking truly extraordinary is this was LTADD’s very first year participating in the program. Stepping into a highly competitive statewide program for the first time and walking away with a top-five finish is a rare and remarkable achievement. It serves as a powerful validation of the culture, collaboration, and mutual respect we have intentionally cultivated within our agency.
This wasn’t an award handed out based on a simple nomination form. Organized by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM Kentucky), the selection process is managed independently by the Workforce Research Group and uses a rigorous, two-part evaluation system:
- The Employer Assessment (20% of the score): An in-depth look at our organization’s benefits, policies, workplace practices, and philosophies.
- The Employee Feedback Survey (80% of the score): An extensive, anonymous survey filled out by our actual staff members about their daily workplace experience, engagement, and overall satisfaction.
Because 80% of the scoring relies directly on anonymous employee opinions, this award belongs entirely to our staff. It underscores a deeply engaged, respected, and motivated team that truly values the culture we’ve built together.
In one key indicator of employee satisfaction, 93% of our LTADD teammates said they see themselves working for the agency in three years. This statistic, along with several other metrics, were key benchmarks in the evaluation.
“Our team is the heart and soul of everything we do at LTADD, and making our debut at No. 4 in the state is a massive validation of the workplace culture we have intentionally built together,” LTADD Executive Director Daniel London said. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s dedication, collaboration, and the supportive, high-performing environment that defines who we are. This recognition reflects our collective commitment to our values, not just for the communities we serve, but for each other.”
We are also proud to stand alongside other exceptional employers across the Commonwealth who are committed to elevating the workplace experience. As Kentucky Chamber President and CEO Ashli Watts shared, the program “provides a perfect venue to recognize employers that are doing their part to make the Commonwealth the best state in the nation to live, work, and do business.”
When an organization has a healthy, thriving internal culture, that energy naturally flows outward. A happy, engaged workforce is a highly effective workforce. By prioritizing our team’s well-being and professional growth, we ensure that Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson, and Washington counties continue to receive the highest tier of service, passion, and dedication from our regional planners and staff.
We want to extend a massive thank you to our incredible board of directors, our community partners, and, most importantly, our phenomenal staff. Thank you for making LTADD not just a great place to work, but one of the absolute best in Kentucky!
