August CHAMPION of the Month: Jake Zimmerer

That is why we are excited to announce Jake Zimmerer, City & County Services Director, as LTADD’s August CHAMPION of the Month!
In his role as City & County Services Director, Jake works directly with local leadership across our eight-county region, assisting cities and counties with vital grant writing, project management, and various administrative tasks that keep local initiatives moving forward.
When reflecting on the broader work of Area Development Districts (ADDs), Jake noted that raising community awareness is key to helping local leaders utilize available resources.
“I think a lot of people have no idea that the ADDs in general even exist,” Jake said. “Just more general awareness of our existence would be great.”
And as for his favorite perk of working at LTADD? In true, candid fashion, Jake said the best part is “all the free food.”
Jake’s designation as CHAMPION of the Month comes following a nomination from Community & Regional Economic Development (CRED) Division Director Krista Levee, who recognized his extraordinary effort in stepping up during a critical time.
From February through June, Jake continuously balanced his responsibilities across CRED, while simultaneously taking on full duties as LTADD’s Regional Transportation Planner.
Managing state transportation mandates requires meticulous attention to detail and strict deadlines. Thanks to Jake’s willingness to roll up his sleeves, LTADD didn’t miss a single beat with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC). Over those five busy months, Jake successfully executed and submitted a full slate of critical state deliverables.
Whether he is helping a local municipality secure competitive grant funding or jumping in to manage complex transportation inventories across divisions, Jake exemplifies the collaborative spirit that makes LTADD so impactful.
