ADF Check: City of Bardstown  (Oct. 17, 2018)

City of Bardstown Mayor Dick Heaton receives a check for $8,173 from the Area Development Fund to be used for a “Welcome to Bardstown” sign project. Mayor Heaton is presented the check by Breckinridge County Judge/Executive Maurice Lucas, Lincoln Trail ADD Board Chair.

The Area Development Fund has been allocated by the General Assembly since 1976 to assist in local community and industrial development.

ADF Check: City of Fairfield  (Oct. 17, 2018)

Mr. Paul Kiener, a Commissioner with the City of Fairfield, accepts an Area Development Fund check for $3,625 on behalf of the City. Lincoln Trail ADD Board Chair Maurice Lucas, Breckinridge County Judge/Executive, presents the check which will be used for some repairs and updates to City Hall.

The Area Development Fund has been allocated by the General Assembly since 1976 to assist in local community and industrial development.

Board of Directors: Guest Speaker  (Sept. 19, 2018)

Dr. Juston Pate spoke to the September Board Meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD.

President and CEO of the Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, Dr. Pate discussed several initiatives that the College is working on to assist the region.

Highlights included the University Center program which will bring more 4 year degree opportunities to campus and the Work Ready scholarship program for students in high demand career fields of study.

Reg. Transportation Comm. Meeting  (Aug. 15, 2018)

The Executive Director of Kentuckians for Better Transportation, Ms. Juva Barber, (standing left) speaks to the August 15th meeting of the Lincoln Trail Regional Transportation Committee.

Ms. Barber’s primary focus was on the decline of finances for the Commonwealth’s transportations needs due to current fuel tax policies.

The Transportation Committee, Chaired by Nelson County Judge/Executive Dean Watts meets quarterly to review and discuss transportation issues of Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, Marion, Nelson & Washington Counties in the Lincoln Trail Area Development District.

ADF Check: City of Bloomfield  (Aug. 15, 2018)

The City of Bloomfield receives a check for $5,475.74 from the Area Development Fund to be used for new antennas and laptops for their police cruisers.

Receiving the check for Bloomfield are Mayor Rhonda Hagan and City Clerk Jean Jury.

The Lincoln Trail ADD August board meeting was honored to have the Kentucky State Director for Rural Development, Ms. Hilda Legg as their guest speaker.

Ms. Legg spoke to the board on issues relating to Rural Development including water project funding, housing, and broadband.

LTADD is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to provide direct support and coordination of Lincoln Trail Area Development District's public administration services. Position requires Master's Degree in public administration, public affairs, law, finance, or related field. A Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable with three (3) years of relevant experience. Specific areas of work concentration include public personnel administration, public budgeting and accounting, public works, research, and writing. Salary DOQ.

Must be able to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff, public officials, and general public on a regular basis. Travel within the 8-county Lincoln Trail region is necessary.
