Job Opening: HC Case Manager

LTADD is seeking a motivated and client oriented individual to provide assessment and case management services, including home visits, for the elderly in the Lincoln Trail region. Position requires Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, RN, or a field relevant to geriatrics. Applicants with Bachelor’s Degree in other fields must have two years of experience working with the elderly. Specific areas of work include, assessment, case management, and care planning. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, projects and programs simultaneously and be team oriented. Job requires proficiency with Microsoft Office software and knowledge of human services programs.

Board of Directors: Guest Speaker  (Feb. 20, 2019)

Mr. Tony Wilder, Executive Director of the Kentucky Council of Area Development Districts, addressed the February Board Meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD.

Mr. Wilder discussed the history of the ADDs and their mission in support of their local communities.

He also touched on the concepts of regionalism and how the local officials who make up the ADD boards come together to solve problems and provide leadership for development activities.

Board of Directors: Guest Speaker  (January 16, 2019)

Ms. Shellie Hampton, with the Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo) spoke to the January Board Meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD.

Director of Governmental Relations, Ms. Hampton discussed several topics that KACo is focused on during the current legislative session. These included the ongoing pension issues and tax reform and modernization.

ADF Check: City of Hodgenville  (December 19, 2018)

City of Hodgenville Mayor Kenny DeVore receives a check for $8,500 from the Area Development Fund to be used for construction of a pickle ball court at Creekfront Park.

ADF Check: City of Fairfield  (Oct. 17, 2018)

Mr. Paul Kiener, a Commissioner with the City of Fairfield, accepts an Area Development Fund check for $3,625 on behalf of the City. Lincoln Trail ADD Board Chair Maurice Lucas, Breckinridge County Judge/Executive, presents the check which will be used for some repairs and updates to City Hall.

Board of Directors: Guest Speaker  (Sept. 19, 2018)

Dr. Juston Pate spoke to the September Board Meeting of the Lincoln Trail ADD.

President and CEO of the Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, Dr. Pate discussed several initiatives that the College is working on to assist the region.

Highlights included the University Center program which will bring more 4 year degree opportunities to campus and the Work Ready scholarship program for students in high demand career fields of study.

Reg. Transportation Comm. Meeting  (Aug. 15, 2018)

The Executive Director of Kentuckians for Better Transportation, Ms. Juva Barber, (standing left) speaks to the August 15th meeting of the Lincoln Trail Regional Transportation Committee.

Ms. Barber’s primary focus was on the decline of finances for the Commonwealth’s transportations needs due to current fuel tax policies.

The Transportation Committee, Chaired by Nelson County Judge/Executive Dean Watts meets quarterly to review and discuss transportation issues of Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, Marion, Nelson & Washington Counties in the Lincoln Trail Area Development District.

ADF Check: City of Bloomfield  (Aug. 15, 2018)

The City of Bloomfield receives a check for $5,475.74 from the Area Development Fund to be used for new antennas and laptops for their police cruisers.

Receiving the check for Bloomfield are Mayor Rhonda Hagan and City Clerk Jean Jury.

The Lincoln Trail ADD August board meeting was honored to have the Kentucky State Director for Rural Development, Ms. Hilda Legg as their guest speaker.

Ms. Legg spoke to the board on issues relating to Rural Development including water project funding, housing, and broadband.
